Dr. Niro completed his bachelor’s and medical degrees from King’s College London and University College London, respectively, and worked across a variety of surgical specialities. This was followed by a 2-year higher fellowship in general cosmetic surgery in Australia, and then a 2-year ‘super-specialty’ surgical fellowship.

What is Face Lift Surgery?

By tightening the facial muscles and skin, our face lift procedures may be able to offer a more youthful glow but also a more vibrant skin tone. Additionally, we may also remove excess fat from around the face (or reposition) as a part of your surgery.

The procedure may involve making incisions above the hairline, around the temples and under the chin. They may remove surplus skin from your face that has been sagging. Once removed, your remaining skin may be stretched back to stich into its new position. By conducting our face lift surgery this way, it may be possible to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines drastically through the stretching of the skin. This procedure usually takes between 3-5 hours depending on your requirements.

How painful is a Face Lift Surgery?
During your face lift surgery, you may be under general anaesthetic. If this is the case, you should not feel any pain or discomfort as your face will be numbed and you won’t be awake. If local anaesthetic is used, there may be some discomfort, but you shouldn’t feel pain. After your procedure you may experience some bruising and swelling for the first 2 weeks and after 4 -6 you may be able to return to regular exercise.
How long does Face Lift Surgery take?
Face lift surgery usually takes around 3-5 hours to complete. This is dependent on how much work you need done and your personal requirements. Additionally, you may be able to go home straight after the surgery.
Does a Face Lift Surgery get rid of wrinkles?
